Having enjoyed The Mistletoe Phenomenon by Serena Yates I was excited to read the sequel Solstice Mistletoe Effect to see how Lance, Magnus and Jakob were doing. While this book could be read as a standalone, it really is better if you read The Mistletoe Phenomenon first to get the full progression of the relationship between the main characters.
Most of the story takes place in Sweden and I really enjoyed hearing about Swedish customs and culture. I would really have liked to see more of this in the book.
I did enjoy seeing Lance's growth in this story, but I must say there were times that I wanted to just slap Magnus upside the head for being so obtuse.
The secondary characters play a large part in this story, the main one being Sigrid who creates a lot of turmoil in the lives of the main characters.
I enjoyed Solstice Mistletoe Effect by Serena Yates as it is always fun to see a follow up of a well liked story with great characters.
